The 3rd Annual Hot Stove Banquet, which will include cocktails and a formal dinner in addition to the program, will provide fans with an opportunity to participate in a night of baseball, in anticipation of the A's Spring Training camp and the 2010 Ports season. Oakland A's Television Play-by-Play Announcer Glen Kuiper will serve as the keynote speaker, and other Ports players and coaches will be on hand for the event.

There will be a silent auction and raffle of baseball memorabilia from minor and major league teams. The Ports will also honor the 2009 Greater Stockton High School Baseball and Softball Players of the Year.

All proceeds raised from the event will benefit the Stockton Ports Anchor Fund, which aids several community projects, with a focus on youth centers and youth sports. In 2009, the Anchor Fund donated approximately $35,500 and nearly $107,500 of in-kind donations, including 13,350 tickets to local non-profit organizations, charities and schools. Nearly $10,000 was raised at the 2nd Annual Hot Stove Banquet.

The cost to attend the 3rd Annual Hot Stove Banquet is $50 per plate, and $450 for a preferred table of 10. New for the 2010 Hot Stove Banquet is the Champions Table package, which includes priority seating for 10, admittance to the special VIP cocktail reception which starts at 5 p.m., a logo in the Banquet program, and opportunity for event signage. The Champions Table package costs $600.

"We're thrilled to have Glen as the keynote speaker for our Hot Stove Banquet this year," said Ports President and General Manager Pat Filippone. "Glen will provide A's and Ports fans with plenty of baseball insight, and we hope our fans enjoy the opportunity to meet him. Last year's banquet was a wonderful success, and we look forward to seeing this event grow in future years."

The Ports are excited to welcome all area baseball fans to this charitable event on Thursday, February 4. Fans may purchase tickets to the event at the Ports front office, via the phone at (209) 644-1900 or Click here to order your tickets.
