Cutch-Themed Giveaways, American Pickers' Colby, Three Fireworks Shows Slated for Upcoming Curve Homestand

Jam-Packed Stay in Curve, PA as Altoona Battles Portland and Reading

CURVE, Pa. - A pair of giveaways featuring former Altoona Curve and current Pittsburgh Pirates star center fielder Andrew McCutchen, an appearance by Danielle Colby of American Pickers, Buccomania, and three fireworks nights are on tap for the Curve when they return to Curve, Pa. tomorrow (Tuesday). The Curve will welcome in the Portland Sea Dogs (AA - Boston Red Sox) for the first time in the 2014 season followed by the first meeting against the Reading Fightin Phils (AA - Philadelphia Phillies) as part of the fun-filled homestand at Peoples Natural Gas Field.

The Curve will feature back-to-back nights of Andrew McCutchen giveaways on Friday, June 13 and on Saturday, June 14 to celebrate the All-Star career of the former Curve outfielder. Friday's 7 p.m. game will feature an Andrew McCutchen T-Shirt Giveaway presented by Ravine Ink & Thread to the first 1,500 fans. On Saturday, the first 1,500 fans to Peoples Natural Gas Field for the 6 p.m. game against Reading will get an Andrew McCutchen MVP Bobblehead Giveaway presented by Unifirst. McCutchen won the MVP as part of Pittsburgh's magical 2013 season, batting .317 with 21 home runs and 84 RBI.

Two celebrity appearances will also highlight the upcoming homestand in Curve, Pa. Thursday's 7 p.m. game against Portland will feature an appearance by Danielle Colby from History Channel's American Pickers. Colby will sign autographs and throw out the ceremonial first pitch for Thursday's game against Portland. Then, on Saturday, the Curve will be hosting Buccomania with appearances by The Pirate Parrot, Bucco Brigade, and Pierogies.

Along with all the giveaways and celebrities, all fans who stop by at the ballpark will enjoy the postgame fireworks extravaganza on three different nights. First, fans can enjoy the fireworks spectacle after Tuesday's and Thursday's 7 p.m. games. Then, when the Curve play the Reading Fightin Phils on Sunday, fans can sit back and take in the fireworks show after that game.
