Medlen, Snitker added to R-Braves event

Rome, Ga. - The Eighth Annual Hot Stove Gathering will be held at The Forum, in downtown Rome, Monday January 25th from 5:00 until 7:30pm and will feature several special guests. In addition to Atlanta Braves pitcher Tommy Hanson, Atlanta third base coach Brian Snitker, and pitcher Kris Medlen will join the guest list. Former Rome Braves pitcher Ryne Reynoso will also be on hand. All proceeds from the event will benefit Cancer Navigators in memory of former Atlanta Braves' Minor League Field Operations Supervisor Jim Beauchamp.

2010 will mark the fourth season Brian Snitker has served as third case coach in Atlanta. Prior to that he managed Triple-A Richmond. Along with Hanson, Kris Medlen played in Rome in 2007 and has seen work both as a starter and reliever in Atlanta in 2009. Ryne Reynoso spend last year in AA Mississippi and was in Rome during the 2007 season.

The 2010 Rome field staff of Randy Ingle, Bobby Moore, Jim Czajkowski, and Allan Chase will also be in attendance.

"We are proud to have such an outstanding group on hand for this event," says Rome General Manager Michael Dunn. "It is an exciting time for us to gather and talk about Braves baseball both in Rome and Atlanta for the 2010 season."

Heavy hor d'oeuvres with food stations and drinks will be available. An autograph session in addition to a question and answer program will take place. Door prizes will be given throughout the evening.

A silent auction will be held from 5:30pm-7:00pm featuring sports memorabilia.
