IronPigs Add "Pee-nalty" Soccer Shootout Urinal Game

Available for a Limited Time During World Cup
June 11, 2014

Coca-Cola Park, the first sports venue in the world to feature the revolutionary "Urinal Gaming System", will debut the "Pee-nalty" Soccer Shootout game for a limited time only during this year's FIFA World Cup which kicks off Thursday. The premise of the game is simple - use your stream to score as many goals as possible and help your nation win the World Cup. The 2014 FIFA World Cup begins on Thursday, June 12, with a match featuring the host nation Brazil battling Croatia. The month-long tournament - which features 32 nations from around the globe - concludes on July 13.

"Fans throughout the world refer to soccer as 'The Beautiful Game' and this brings a whole new meaning to that phrase," exclaimed IronPigs President & General Manager Kurt Landes. "Our fans that have fallen in love with these 'X-Stream Games' are really going to get a kick out of this one!"

For those that are unaware or simply need a refresher, Coca-Cola Park's Urinal Gaming System, which debuted in 2013, allows fans to interact with the world's only truly hands-free urinal game controller. The p-controlled video game systems are featured within all men's restrooms at Coca-Cola Park and are exclusively presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network to remind men about the importance of prostate health and talking with their doctor about getting screened when appropriate.

When a user approaches the urinal, the video console flips into gaming mode, using patented technology that detects both his presence and stream. Algorithms then allow the user to engage with the screen by aiming in different directions to test their agility and knowledge. The "Pee-nalty" Soccer Shootout game is 100% intuitive and custom-built to provide a unique user interface along with an easy and seamless experience. Upon completion (an average of over 55 seconds according to published research) users receive their score and a code to enter. They can then view their position on the World Cup leader board or check the website to see how they stack up with the rest of that night's competition. High scores will be displayed in real-time across various videoboard displays within Coca-Cola Park throughout the World Cup.

The new "Pee-nalty" Soccer Shootout game will be featured for a limited time, beginning with the IronPigs next home game on Monday, June 16 and running through the IronPigs' Thursday, July 3 game at Coca-Cola Park. Great seats are still available for all upcoming games and can be purchased in-person at Coca-Cola Park (Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), by calling (610) 841-PIGS (7447) or online at ironpigsbaseball.com. Two brand-new seating areas, the "Hot Corner" and the "Bacon Strip" were recently added to Coca-Cola Park offering IronPigs fans the most unique and distinctive seating and hospitality areas in all of Minor League Baseball.

Coca-Cola Park has been among the most progressive venues in professional sports since its highly-acclaimed debut in 2008, receiving numerous honors and distinctions, including Ballpark Digest's "Ballpark of the Year" award and "Best Game Operations and Presentation" award as chosen by gameops.com. The IronPigs' revolutionary "Urinal Gaming System was chosen as the best in-game promotion in Minor League Baseball at last year's Minor League Baseball Promotional Seminar.
