Santiago Casilla Scheduled to Rehab with San Jose Giants
SAN JOSE, CA - The San Francisco Giants have announced that relief pitcher Santiago Casilla is scheduled to begin a rehabilitation assignment with the San Jose Giants tonight, Thursday, June 12 at Municipal Stadium. Casilla is scheduled to start this evening's contest. The 7:00 PM game against the Stockton Ports is the second game of a four game series for the San Jose Giants and great seats are still available. Casilla, 33, is recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered earlier this season. A member of San Francisco's 2010 and 2012 World Championship teams, Casilla owns a career 3.29 ERA in 11 seasons. Before being placed on the disabled list this year, Casilla made 22 appearances for San Francisco and held opponents to a .205 BA while maintaining a 1.37 ERA.
