Richmond Professional Baseball Unveils 2010 Schedule
The 2010 home opener is slated for Thursday, April 15 at 7:05 pm against Philadelphia's "AA" affiliate, the Reading Phillies, as part of a four-game series, followed by a visit from the New Britain Rock Cats, "AA" affiliate for the Minnesota Twins, for three games to close out the first home stand of the year. The Reading Phillies will visit the Richmond club again for a three game series in both July and August.
Richmond will play host to the Bowie Baysox, the Baltimore Orioles "AA" affiliate, with a 7:05 start on Memorial Day and will celebrate all Dads on June 20 for Father's Day with a 5:05 start against the Altoona Curve, Pittsburgh's "AA" affiliate.
The Fourth of July will once again be celebrated at The Diamond as the Erie SeaWolves, "AA" affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, will be the opponent for a 6:35 first pitch as part of a four-game series.
The Boston Red Sox "AA" affiliate, the Portland Sea Dogs, will make its first and only stop at The Diamond for a three-game set from August 13-15. The Trenton Thunder, the New York Yankees farm team, will also make just one appearance in Richmond from July 19-21.
The Richmond team will close out its inaugural first season against the Bowie Baysox with a 12:05 start on Labor Day.
