It's Almost Here! The 78th Texas League All-Star Game

Little Rock - The Arkansas Travelers announce the schedule of events for the two days surrounding the 78th Texas League All-Star Game presented by Farm Bureau Insurance, including the All-Star Gala at the Doubletree Little Rock on Monday, June 23 and the All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 24. The All-Star Home Run Derby presented by Heart of Arkansas United Way will take place before the All-Star Game featuring former Traveler and Cardinal Rick Ankiel and former Braves slugger Ryan Klesko.

 

The All-Star Gala at the DoubleTree Little Rock Grand Ballroom starts with a cocktail hour and autograph session with the All-Star players at 6:00 p.m. on June 23. Attire for the event is casual and fans are encouraged to bring one piece of their own memorabilia for players to sign. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. with the program featuring former National League batting champion Bill Buckner starting at 7:30 p.m.

 

Tickets to the All-Star gala will not be available at the door. Tickets are available over the phone by calling the Travelers at (501) 664-7559.

 

Gates at Dickey-Stephens Park open at 3:00 p.m. for the 78th Texas League All-Star Game presented by Farm Bureau Insurance. Fans will be treated to a host of entertaining activities and events including a rock climbing wall, mechanical bull rides, aerial entertainment, living statues and live music. Tethered hot air balloon rides will take place for two hours starting at 4:00 p.m.

 

All-Star Batting Practice begins at 3:15 p.m. with the North Division on the field for one hour. The South Division takes the field at 4:15 p.m. for one hour. Each team will have a 15-minute autograph session in their respective dugouts after wrapping up their batting practices.

 

The All-Star Home Run Derby presented by Heart of Arkansas United Way starts at 6:00 p.m. with Ankiel and Klesko the captains of a three-man team. Each team will be raising money for Heart of Arkansas United Way with a handful of $300 and $500 targets located on the field. Also 380 feet away from home plate on the outfield berm will sit a target that raises $100,000 for Heart of Arkansas United Way.

 

Tickets to the 78th Texas League All-Star Game presented by Farm Bureau Insurance are on sale in-person or over the phone at (501) 664-7559. Online sales at www.Travs.com are also available with each ticket assessed a $1 convenience fee.

 

Ticket prices for the Texas League All-Star Game are as follows; Box seats for all ages are $13. Reserved tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for children 14-and-under. General admission tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children 14-and-under. Any ticket is $1 off with a military ID. No discount coupons or group rates are available for the game.
