Telemundo's Sarcos, Cierco Here Saturday

To Meet Fans at Hooks-Frisco Game

CORPUS CHRISTI - Telemundo personalities Daniel Sarcos and Azucena Cierco are coming to Whataburger Field this Saturday!

Gates open at 5:40 for the 7:10 p.m. contest between the Hooks and Frisco RoughRiders.

Sarcos and Cierco invite all fans to come early for autographs and photographs. The pair will be available at the Telemundo table on the main concourse.

"We are excited about hosting Daniel and Azucena at Whataburger Field," Hooks VP/GM Michael Wood said. "They are excited about coming to Corpus Christi and meeting their fans. We are going to have them involved in some fun activities before and during the game as well."

Saturday, Hooks Hunting Camo Caps go to the first 2,500 from IBC Bank and all patrons enjoy a salute to our military.

Sarcos, co-host of "Un Nuevo Dia" since 2011, is one of the most versatile and successful personalities in Hispanic entertainment. From 1997-2009, he hosted "Super Sabado Sensacional," a variety show featuring interviews of the most relevant figures in Latin American entertainment. Sarcos, who began as a salsa singer over 25 years ago, has also worked in radio and as co-host of the Miss Venezuela and Miss Mundo Puerto Rico pageants. Royalties from his music have benefited children with the HIV virus and he's represented countless causes. The Venezuelan version of "Dancing with the Stars" - "Bailando con las Estrellas" - and "La Guerra de los Sexos" are solid ratings performers on Sarcos' list of credits.

2004 brought Sarcos a deal with Univision Puerto Rico, where he co-hosted "Anda Pal Cara." The next year, he ventured into acting, starring in "La Cenicienta" (Cinderella). Sarcos guest starred in Venezuelan serials "Guerra de Mujeres" and "El amor las vuelve locas." In 2006, "Un macho de mujer" afforded Sarcos his film debut.

Five years ago, Sarcos penned his own monologue, "My Life is Not so Sensational." He's taken it to over 150 bookings in Aruba, Curacao, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Panama, the United States and Venezuela.

Recent years have seen Sarcos host the Billboard Latin Music Awards and return to the theater with the monologue "Divorciarme, yo?"

The beloved and charismatic Cierco, a special entertainment correspondent, has over a decade of experience. The Mexican reporter possesses a natural and unique style and has queried stars in her homeland and on the international scene. Cierco co-hosts specials like the Billboard Mexican Music Awards, Billboard Latin Music Awards Red Carpet and People in Espanol's 50 Most Beautiful.

Cierco has covered Pope Benedict's visit to Guanajuato and the Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe, the world's most-visited Catholic shrine.
