Chattanooga lumps Huntsville

Joey Votto had two hits and two RBIs to propel Chattanooga to a rain-shortened 7-1 victory over visiting Huntsville on Saturday.

Votto's RBIs came on a walk and a single, while Aaron Herr and Noochie Varner both smacked two-run doubles.

Luis Bolivar singled and doubled for the Lookouts (28-16), who won their third straight over the Stars. Bolivar has hit safely in 14 of his last 16 games, raising his average to .394.

Chattanooga reliever Ben Kozlowski (2-1) scattered three hits in two innings for the win. Phil Dumatrait threw the first four frames, allowing a single run on one hit and fanning three.

Stars starter Travis Phelps (0-2) surrendered four runs on four hits in three innings while striking out four to suffer the loss.

Steve Moss led off the first with a double and scored for Huntsville (20-23).
