Bees Players to Host Knothole Club Clinic on June 19 in Conjunction with Bee Healthy Week

SALT LAKE CITY (June 17, 2014) - Salt Lake Bees players Ryan Chaffee, Zach Zaneski, Jeremy Berg, Shawn O'Malley, Zach Borenstein and Tommy Field will open Bee Healthy Week with a baseball clinic for more than 150 Knothole Club members at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 19 at Smith's Ballpark. The clinic marks the first of three to be held for Knothole Club members this season and will feature a series of baseball drills led by Bees players, as well as autograph and photo opportunities.

Celebrating its ninth consecutive season, the Knothole Club is part of the Bees organization's ongoing commitment to health and wellness and youth development. Individual memberships are still available and may be purchased online at slbees.com or at Bees home games. Baseball team memberships can be arranged by contacting Nate Martinez at (801) 325-2573.

The annual Bee Healthy Week runs June 19-21 at Smith's Ballpark in an effort to inspire fans to embrace healthy living. During the games those evenings, attendees will be invited to participate in a variety of interactive and educational Bee Healthy Challenges featuring special prizes. The initiative will also include the debut of an assortment of individual salads and fruit plates as part of All-Star Catering's "Fresh Express" menu and a Bee Healthy water bottle giveaway on June 20.

The Bees will host the Memphis Redbirds and the Nashville Sounds during its eight-game homestand June 17-24. Tickets are available at the Smith's Ballpark box office from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., as well as at all Smith'sTix outlets and Smith's Food & Drug Stores.
