PREVIEW:
The Rochester Red Wings look to win two games in one day at Frontier Field, Wednesday evening vs. the Pawtucket Red Sox.

The Red Wings were washed out after three innings, Tuesday night at Frontier Field, trailing 2-1, before the flood gates opened and the field turned into a swimming pool.

LHP Scott Diamond (3-6, 6.94 ERA) will take the mound to start the fourth inning in completion of Tuesday's suspended game. The lefty enters the game with one on and one out. The Canadian last pitched on June 13 vs. Lehigh Valley in relief of Alex Meyer, pitching three hitless innings allowing one walk while facing the minimum and striking out three.

Paw Sox reliever, Chris Resop (3-0, 4.06 ERA) will start the continuation of Tuesday night's game for Pawtucket.

Before the clouds opened and the lightning struck, Sean Gilmartin threw three innings allowing two runs (0 earned) on six hits while striking out two. The Florida State product is on the hook for Wings.

Wings scored their lone run in the first inning after James Beresford walked, Deibinson Romero walked and Chris Colabello chopped and infield single to chase home Beresford.

Game Two:

In the nightcap, Meyer (4-3, 3.62 ERA) will toe the rubber for the Wings, who is coming of loss in his last outing vs. Lehigh Valley, June 13. Meyer lasted just two innings allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out one. In Meyer's only start vs. Pawtucket (4/23) in his career he pitched 6 2/3 shutout frames allowing three hits and three walks while striking out tied for career-high 11 batters. Meyer took the no decision in that contest before the Wings lost 3-1 at Pawtucket.

LHP Chris Hernandez (3-6, 3.16 ERA) will oppose the Wings in the seven inning night game as Rochester is tied for first in the International League in hitting (.273) entering Wednesday's continuation of Tuesday night's suspended game. Hernandez has never defeated the Wings in four career starts (0-4). The lefty has given up 12 earned runs in 22 1/3 innings (4.84 ERA) in four career matchups with against the Wings. His last appearance vs. Rochester came at Frontier Field April 17 (L; 6 IP, 2 R, 9 H, 1 BB, 2 SO).
