Senators Wednesday Night Mall Event Canceled

Mother Nature wreaking havoc in the mid-state
February 8, 2010
Due to the impending snowstorm, the Senators have canceled their event scheduled for Wednesday night at the Harrisburg Mall. Mother Nature has not been kind to the Harrisburg area, with 18+" of snowfall over the weekend, and more on the way.

Even though the meet and greet with Senators manager Randy Knorr isn't taking place, Senators fans still have an opportunity to ask Randy a question. Fans can e-mail their questions to Terry Byrom, and Randy will answer selected questions during a videotaped interview. The interview will be available on the Sens website later this week.

The drawing for two luxury suites to one Senators home game is still taking place on Wednesday evening, but it will be held at the Senators offices. A video of the drawing will also be available later this week.

The Senators are still searching for on-field hosts, and will have an event later this spring that is likely to be held at Metro Bank Park. Stay tuned to the Sens website for more information.

Metro Bank Park is currently undergoing renovations as part of phase II of a two-phase project announced in December 2008. The new ballpark adds to a Harrisburg-Hershey minor league market that is ranked as the best in the country by Street & Smith's Sports Business Journal. The 2010 home opener is Thursday, April 15th at 7:00pm against the New Britain Rock Cats (Twins). The Senators are also hosting the 2010 Eastern League All-Star game, scheduled for July 14th at Metro Bank Park. Season tickets, mini-plans, and group tickets are available either by logging on to www.senatorsbaseball.com or by phoning the Senators at 717-231-4444.
