TinCaps Games To Simulcast On MyTV
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Since the TinCaps moved to Parkview Field in 2009, each and every home game has been broadcast on TV by XFINITY's local Indiana channel, CN81. Now, for the first time, non-XFINITY subscribers in the Fort Wayne area also will have the opportunity to see the TinCaps from the comfort of their couch.
The TinCaps and MyTV Fort Wayne (WISE-33.2) are proud to announce a market-first partnership to simulcast three upcoming TinCaps showcase games in cooperation with XFINITY. Fort Wayne's games on the following Thursdays, beginning at 7:00 p.m., can be found on both MyTV Fort Wayne 33.2 and XFINITY's CN81: June 26 (vs. Dayton), July 24 (vs. Beloit), and August 7 (vs. Lake County).
"We've been on XFINITY's CN81 for every TinCaps game since 2009 and continue to be available there all season long," said Michael Limmer, TinCaps Vice President - Marketing. "These showcase games with one of our great media partners in MyTV Fort Wayne are a great way for our team to get exposure to the full television market."
"We have had a long standing relationship with the TinCaps franchise," WISE President/General Manager Don Osika added. "We're thrilled the partnership has expanded to include these showcase games. With Komets games as well, viewers have come to expect MyTV Fort Wayne as the local broadcast source for the city's local professional sports franchises."
The third-year voice of the TinCaps, Mike Couzens, will handle the play-by-play duties for these MyTV Thursday Showcase Games. Dave Doster, a New Haven High School grad who played two seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies, is slated to serve as an analyst for the broadcasts.
Fort Wayne's in-house produced broadcasts feature shots from seven cameras, graphics, and instant replays. The TinCaps are one of only four teams - and the only one not in Triple-A - out of 160 in Minor League Baseball to have all home games broadcast on TV.
