WMYT My12 to Broadcast Six Saturday Night Games This Season
(Uptown Charlotte, NC) - The Charlotte Knights and WMYT My12, unit of FOX Television Stations have agreed on a deal that will make WMYT My12 the television home of Charlotte Knights baseball for all six remaining Saturday home games this season. Starting with the game on Saturday, June 21st against the Toledo Mud Hens (Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers), FOX Television Stations will utilize the in-house HD quality video feed produced from BB&T Ballpark, along with the radio broadcast feed from the Charlotte Knights Radio Network.
"The Charlotte Knights are thrilled to partner with WMYT to telecast the remaining 2014 home games on Saturday nights," said Knights Chief Operating Officer Dan Rajkowski. "Big crowds have packed BB&T Ballpark on Saturdays, and this gives the entire Charlotte region a chance to enjoy the Knights from their comfort of their homes."

The "Voice of the Charlotte Knights" Matt Swierad will continue to be the lead play-by-play broadcaster on all Saturday telecasts, while Knights broadcaster Mike Pacheco will join Swierad in the booth. A veteran of over 3,000 professional baseball broadcasts, Swierad began calling games for the Knights in 1998. His radio career has spanned 24 seasons, including seven years in the Class-A South Atlantic League with the Gastonia Rangers (1991-92), Hagerstown Suns (1993), and Hickory Crawdads (1994-97).
The Knights return home to BB&T Ballpark tonight (Friday, June 20) to open an eight-game homestand.
