Stubs Miraculously Recovers, Plans to Race Today

After quite a scare, Stubs has made a full recovery
June 22, 2014

LAWRENCEVILLE - Yesterday morning, we were all shocked to hear about what happened to Stubs, the blue shaving cream can in the SATA Can Race. This morning was even more surprising, as Gwinnett Braves staff got word that Stubs had made a full recovery after he was miraculously revived by medical staff. There is no real explanation for this miracle, but according to Sunny and Bugs, his best friends, Stubs plans to make his return today during the can race in Gwinnett's game against the Louisville. While we will all wonder how this happened, Stubs' medical records were deemed classified by authorities.

"We would obviously like to thank the fans and their efforts to help us find out the perpetrator during last night's Clue Night," said Detective Brandon Apter, who spearheaded last night's investigation. "Professor Plum will still be locked up for his crime. Moving forward, we couldn't be happier to have Stubs back in the can race lineup."

Come and see Stubs' valiant return to the can race during today's game against the Louisville Bats. It is a Sunday Funday, so for 20 minutes pre-game, fans can have catch on the outfield grass. Make sure to bring your baseballs and gloves! Following the final out, kids 12 & under get to run the bases, thanks to our friends at Kid to Kid Buford.
