Drillers Home For 6 Games, June 25-30

Tulsa hosting San Antonio and Corpus Christi

The Tulsa Drillers will host the Texas League South Division's San Antonio Missions and Corpus Christi Hooks for the second and final time this season. The six-game homestand will run Wednesday, June 25 through Monday, June 30.

All games in the homestand, with one exception, will start at 7:05PM. The game with the Hooks on June 29 will be the final Sunday afternoon game of the season with first scheduled for 2:05PM. 

The promotions for the homestand are headlined by two fireworks games, including the annual Independence Holiday Fireworks Extravaganza on Monday, June 30. It will be the area's first Independence Fireworks Show and the largest of the season at ONEOK Field. The Drillers are out of town on July 4.

Other promotions will include a Patriotic Jersey Giveaway on Thursday, June 26 and another Bark-In-The-Park event for the opener on Wednesday, June 25.

Individual tickets for all the games, and any other game this season, are currently available for purchase online at TulsaDrillers.com, in person at the ONEOK Field Ticket Office (201 N. Elgin Avenue) or over the phone at (918) 744-5901.

STARS ON THE RISE: The Drillers roster currently features five of the Rockies Top 20 Prospects, according to MLB.com, in RHP Jon Gray (#1 overall), C Tom Murphy (#7 overall), LHP Tyler Anderson (#11 overall), SS Cristhian Adames (#15 overall) and RHP Scott Oberg (#17 overall).   

San Antonio currently features 6 of the top 20 San Diego Padre prospects, 4 of which are outfielders: C Austin Hedges (#1 overall), OF Hunter Renfroe (#5 overall), OF Rymer Liriano (#6 overall), OF Reymond Fuentes (#16 overall), OF Travis Jankowski (#17 overall) and 2B Cory Spangenberg (#19 overall).

The current Corpus Christi roster features three of the top 20 overall Houston Astros prospects: Delino DeShields (OF, #6 overall) Nolan Fontana (SS, #17 overall) and Kyle Smith (RHP, #18 overall).

SIZING UP THE COMPETITION: The Drillers and Missions split six meeting during the first half of the season with San Antonio winning two of three games at ONEOK Field. The Drillers were 2-4 against the Hooks with a 1-2 record in three games in Tulsa.

SUMMER WARM UP: As a team, the Drillers are hitting .283 in 21 games during the month of June. They hit only .246 in April and .255 in May. Jayson Langfels and Cristhian Adames are leading the way with .404 and .360 averages. Ryan Casteel is hitting .306 with 5 homers and 15 runs batted in.

PERFECT JUNE: Closer Cole White has enjoyed a perfect month of June. White is 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and is 3 for 3 in save opportunities. He has allowed only 1 hit in 9.1 innings of work.

BARK-IN-THE-PARK
Treat your canine companions to a night out at ONEOK Field with our Bark-In-The-Park, presented by the City Vet Hospital, Animal Aid of Tulsa and 94.1 The Breeze. Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs out to enjoy the game from the grass berms. All owners must present proof of their dog's current rabies vaccination. Dogs must enter through either the Arvest or Oil Derrick Entrances and are only permitted on the concourse and Primeaux Kia Lawn. Great prize giveaways and pet information are available throughout the game along the outfield concourse.

The Drillers will be giving away Patriotic-themed Drillers jerseys to the first 1,000 fans on the last Thursday home game before Independence Day! The unique jerseys feature a blue, camouflage design and are given out courtesy of Primeaux Kia, 106.9 KHITS and FOX23!

OBI BLOOD DRIVE
The Oklahoma Blood Institute will also conduct a blood drive from 4-9 PM at ONEOK Field. Help save a life by donating blood. Those donating blood will receive two free tickets to the Drillers game and Fireworks Show on Friday, July 18.

TULSA'S CHANNEL 8 GRAND SLAM SATURDAY/ MICKEY MANTLE TRIPLE CROWN RING GIVEAWAY
Celebrate one of Oklahoma's most legendary natives at Mickey Mantle Night. The first 1,500 fans, ages 5 and up, will receive commemorative rings highlighting Mickey's 1956 Triple Crown Season courtesy of ONB Bank, 97.5 KMOD and Tulsa's Channel 8. In addition, Mickey's sons, Danny and David Mantle will be in attendance to meet and visit fans. From 12:45-1:15, the Drillers will conduct their last Kids Baseball Skills Clinic of the season. Kids have the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of baseball from professional players and coaches! Plus, after the game, kids can run the bases! The line for both events will begin at the bottom of Sections 103 and 104.

HERE'S TO THE HEROES CARD SET GIVEAWAY/ JERSEY AUCTION
A card set featuring 20 of Tulsa's local military heroes will be distributed to the first 1,000 fans at the game. It's a truly special way to recognize and support local veterans.
