Loons issue T-shirt challenge

February 24, 2010
MIDLAND, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Loons are teaming up with Charter Communications for the Loons T-Shirt Design Challenge, a t-shirt design contest giving fans the opportunity show off their artistic talent.

The winning design will be showcased on thousands of Loons promotional T-shirts given out to fans throughout the 2010 season as part of the Charter Prize Patrol. In addition, the winning designer will receive 25 shirts with the design printed on them, the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a Loons game and an interview on ESPN 100.9 FM during a Loons home game.

"We are excited to partner with Charter Communications on the Loons T-Shirt Design Challenge and give out fans an opportunity to show off their creativity," said Loons director of promotions Linda Uliano.

The Loons are looking for designs that embody fun, family-friendly entertainment. Judges will select the top three designs, which will be posted on loons.com. Fan voting will determine the grand prize winner.

The Loons T-Shirt Design Challenge is open to anyone age 12 and up, with each entrant allowed to submit up three design ideas. All entries are due by March 19 and an entry form is available at loons.com. All entries must include a brief description of the design concept and contact information (name, age, address and e-mail).
