Friday's Game Suspended In 6th Inning
MOBILE, AL - Friday's ballgame between the Jacksonville Suns and the Mobile BayBears from Hank Aaron Stadium has been suspended due to a heavy rainstorm that came through the Mobile area. The Suns led 4-3 with Joe Benson on first base and Terrence Dayleg at the plate with one out in the top of the sixth inning before the game was suspended on Friday night.
The game will be resumed and completed on Saturday starting at 1:05 p.m. CT (2:05 p.m. ET). The two teams will finish off the series with a full nine-inning ballgame about 30-45 minutes after the completion of Friday's suspended game to conclude all of Saturday's action from Mobile.
For the series finale, the Suns will send out right-hander Jose Urena (6-5, 4.37) while the Barons will counter with a righty of their own in A.J. Schugel (3-1, 4.11).
