Round Rock to Host Series' with Nashville (July 4-6), Colorado Springs (7-10) at Dell Diamond
July 1, 2014

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Express returns home Friday, July 4 to kick-off a seven-game homestand with Red, White & Blue Weekend at Dell Diamond. The Express will first welcome the Nashville Sounds (Milwaukee Brewers affiliate) to town for a three-game weekend series July 4-6 before hosting a four-game set with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Colorado Rockies) July 7-10.

Red, White & Blue Weekend starts Friday with an American Flag giveaway to get fans in the holiday spirit before Bud Light Friday Fireworks fill the Central Texas sky as the Express celebrates America's birthday with a post-game pyrotechnic extravaganza. There will also be a Brew Review (beer tasting) in the United Heritage Center during the game. All fans are encouraged to stick around following the fireworks to run the bases on the field and enjoy live music in the Intel Club (free admission post-game).

Additionally, Express players and coaches will wear patriotic jerseys on July 4 that will be auctioned off for charity on Military Appreciation Night Thursday, July 17.

The celebration will continue on into Saturday as Super Series presents another illuminative fireworks spectacular following Round Rock's contest with the Sounds.

On Sunday, July 6, the weekend's festivities will conclude with an All-American Picnic Special at the ballpark. For $25, fans get a reserved ticket to the game, as well as access to the picnic area where they can enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers, watermelon, and other refreshments. It's also H-E-B Kid's Day at the park with pre-game events outside the stadium & post-game run the bases (12 & under), and there will be a Junior Sluggers Player Meet & Greet (must be a Junior Slugger member to participate). And if that wasn't enough, New York Jets wide receiver, TCU legend and Hutto Hippo hero Jeremy Kerley will be throwing out the first pitch.

The homestand continues Monday, July 7 as Mrs. Baird's gives you the opportunity to eat for cheap with $1 hot dog and sodas.

Bring the whole family or a group of friends out to the park on Tuesday with half-priced tickets, presented by A+ Federal Credit Union!

Come on down and join Ballpark Rob Barker for another fun Winning Wednesday, presented by the Texas Lottery! Also on Wednesday, fans can help Strike Out Hunger by bringing two H-E-B branded canned food items to exchange for a free lawn ticket with all proceeds benefitting Capital Area Food Bank.

To conclude the homestand, Dell Diamond will transform into the North Pole on Thursday, July 10 for Christmas in July with real snow, Christmas trees, elves, presents (giveaways), carolers, SANTA and more. There will also be Round Rock Blue Santa Toy Drive, so bring a new, unwrapped toy and receive a free berm ticket! Gifts for ages 0-2 and 6-9 for both boys and girls are most needed. Additionally, there will be a Family Expo held in the United Heritage Center and The Original Thirsty Thursday returns with draft beer specials and $1 sodas presented by Firetrol.
