Celebrate Independence Day with the Burlington Royals!
This weekend, Independence Day meets Bigger, Better, Burlington Baseball as the Burlington Royals host the Danville Braves. Home games are set for 7:00 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday at Burlington Athletic Stadium with a host of promotions and specials for the holiday weekend.
Postgame Fireworks
There will be a fireworks show at Burlington Athletic Stadium following both games. Be sure to stay late as the Royals light up the sky over the left field wall in honor of America's birthday!
Independence Day Carnival
On both Friday and Saturday, the gates will open at 3:00 p.m. for our Independence Day Carnival celebration. Bring the kids and enjoy food, drinks, games, clowns, inflatables, a dunk tank and more!
Special Hats
The Royals will don special "Stars and Stripes Caps" (pictured) made by New Era for the holiday weekend. The Royals are one of 113 Minor League Baseball teams to wear the caps in support of Welcome Back Veterans, as 100% of the proceeds from the cap sales will be donated.
"As Minor League Baseball fans gather this Fourth of July weekend to celebrate America's birthday, we will also take time to honor and thank all the members of our armed forces for their service to our country," said Minor League Baseball President & CEO Pat O'Conner. "The Stars & Stripes cap program is one way we are showing our commitment to our military and an organization whose mission is to provide treatment to our veterans and their families. It's a small token of appreciation for the sacrifices they make every day."
Limited sizes and quantities of the Royals' Stars and Stripes Cap will be available in the team's online shop beginning Thursday, July 3.
