Parking info for Friday's Spikes game
The State College Spikes have announced parking and traffic information for Friday's 1 p.m. Fourth of July game at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Parking procedures will be adjusted due to the all-day activities associated with Central PA 4th Fest.
The Spikes, affiliates of the St. Louis Cardinals, will face the Jamestown Jammers (Pittsburgh Pirates). Ballpark gates will open at noon for the 1 p.m. contest.
Parking for Spikes fans will be available in Lot 44 (Jordan East) for Friday's game. If attending the Spikes game only, fans may park in Lot 44 (across the street from the ballpark) for the standard $3 charge. For the Fourth of July, the only access point for Lot 44 will be Dauer Drive, which can be accessed via Porter Road or University Drive.
Fans wishing to stay in Lot 44 after the game to attend the Central PA 4th Fest will be asked to make an additional $17 donation to 4th Fest. Fans wishing to attend only the Spikes game will not be required to pay any additional amount.
Spikes permit holders, VIPs and ADA will be able to access the Porter North lot for the Spikes game starting at 10 a.m. At approximately 1 p.m., the Porter North VIP lot will turn over to Central PA 4th Fest, and those wishing park in the lot will be asked to make a $20 donation.
Fans with additional parking questions are invited to call the Spikes at (814) 272-1711 or Penn State Parking at (814) 865-1436.
Standing parking procedures will return for the Spikes' games against Jamestown on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday at 6:05 p.m., as well as all remaining home regular season games.
