July 13, 2014

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - Josh Hader didn't allow an earned run over six innings of work and picked up his eighth win as the JetHawks won their fifth straight, 6-2, over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Sunday at LoanMart Field.

Hader (8-1) didn't allow a hit until the fourth inning and only allowed two overall. The left-hander struck out seven and walked three.

Jobduan Morales gave Hader and the JetHawks (55-39) an early lead with a three-run home run off of starter Chris Anderson with two outs in the first inning. Danry Vasquez walked and Rio Ruiz doubled before they both scored on Morales' third home run of the season.

Jon Kemmer added two more runs with a blast in the fourth inning. It was Kemmer's second home run over his first three games since joining Lancaster.

Anderson (6-6) was pulled after the fourth inning. The Dodgers first round pick in 2013 allowed five runs on six hits.

The Quakes (50-44) scored an unearned in the sixth inning and added a run off reliever Zach Morton in the seventh.

Morales got one of the runs back with an RBI-single to score Ruiz in the eighth inning. Ruiz led the JetHawks with three hits in the game.

Daniel Minor tossed scoreless eighth and ninth innings to finish off the win.

The clubs conclude the series and the season series on Monday night at LoanMart Field. Lancaster will send Evan Grills to the mound as they look for the four-game sweep. Lindsey Caughel will start for the Quakes. First pitch is 7:05 p.m.
