Redbirds Return To Bluff City For Eight Games

Michael Wacha Bobblehead Giveaway and Fireworks Headline Homestand

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds open an eight-game homestand on Thursday and will play host to the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Triple-A Rockies) and Omaha Storm Chasers (Triple-A Royals) at AutoZone Park. With only three homestands remaining in the 2014 season, fans will be treated to two giveaways and a special fireworks show.

Thursday, July 17 vs. Colorado Springs Sky Sox at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

  • Michelob Ultra Patio Package: Fans can purchase the Michelob Ultra Patio Package that includes a 16 oz. Michelob Ultra and a Field Box ticket. Michelob Ultras will also be available for $3 above section 123 on the concourse in right field throughout the game. (Note: Must be 21 or older to purchase. We I.D.)

Friday, July 18 vs. Colorado Springs Sky Sox at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)

  • US Foods Michael Wacha Bobblehead Giveaway: The Redbirds are giving 2,000 fans the opportunity to own a Michael Wacha bobblehead. It is the second in a series of three bobbleheads and displays the former Redbird and 2013 NLCS MVP in his throwing motion.
  • Coors Light Block Party: Every Friday, gates open early for a Block Party featuring 16 oz. Coors Lights for $2 and live music from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the AutoZone Park plaza.
  • River City Gymnastics Performance: Get to the game early on Friday to support River City Gymnastics in a pre-game performance in the Plaza.                             

Saturday, July 19 vs. Colorado Springs Sky Sox at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)

  • Salute To First Responders Night: Join us as we honor those who keep us safe in our communities every day with this special night.
  • Postgame Fireworks: A fireworks extravaganza will follow the game set to Jock Jams.
  • Signature Saturday: Select Redbird players will sign autographs in the plaza from 5:00-5:30 p.m. 

Sunday, July 20 vs. Colorado Springs Sky Sox at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)

  • Rockey's Birthday Party: Come out to the ballpark as Rockey celebrates his birthday with all of his mascot friends.
  • Rockey T-Shirt Giveaway: To help celebrate our favorite mascot's birthday, the Redbirds are giving away 1,000 Rockey t-shirts to both kids and adults.
  • Germantown School of Rock: Fans can enjoy a performance from the Germantown School of Rock before the game in the Plaza.
  • Kids Run the Bases: Kids 12 and under get to take the field after the game and run like the Redbirds.

Monday, July 21 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

  • Series Opener: Come cheer on the Redbirds as they open a four-game series against the Storm Chasers

Tuesday, July 22 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:02 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

  • TWOsday: Tuesdays are now "TWO"-sdays at AutoZone Park featuring $2 hot dogs, popcorn, soft drinks, special in-game giveaways, and $2 off Bud Lights.
  • Sanofi U.S. Health Fair: Join the Redbirds as they partner with Sanofi U.S. for a health fair before the game in the Plaza.

Wednesday, July 23 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

  • Memphis and Omaha collide for the third game of the series.

Thursday, July 24 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

  • RBI Night: Kids from the Memphis Redbirds' RBI program will enjoy an evening of fun at AutoZone Park while being honored during a pregame picnic, parade and ceremony.
  • Shelby County Night: Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell will throw out a ceremonial first pitch as part of Shelby County night.
  • Michelob Ultra Patio Package: Fans can purchase the Michelob Ultra Patio Package that includes a 16 oz. Michelob Ultra and a Field Box ticket. Michelob Ultras will also be available for $3 above section 123 on the concourse in right field throughout the game. (Note: Must be 21 or older to purchase. We I.D.)

Following the eight games at home, Memphis will commence on its longest road trip of the season. The 12-day, 15-game trip will see the 'Birds face the Iowa Cubs (Triple-A Cubs), Omaha Storm Chasers (Triple-A Royals) and Round Rock Express (Triple-A Rangers). They will return to AutoZone Park for five games against the New Orleans Zephyrs (Triple-A Marlins) on Thursday, August 7.
