Polanco "El Coffee" Mug, Neil Walker Cartoon T-Shirt, Postgame Fireworks, & More When Curve Return To Action Thursday
CURVE, Pa. - The Curve are set to resume play following the Eastern League All-Star Game with a series against the Bowie Baysox (AA - Baltimore Orioles) at Peoples Natural Gas Field. A pair of Pittsburgh Pirates-themed giveaways plus two nights of fireworks are on tap for Altoona when they get back in action on Thursday night.
Leading off for the Curve in the first game of the homestand on Thursday will be the Gregory Polanco "El Coffee" Mug Giveaway presented by Keller Engineers to the first 1,000 fans. Make sure you stop by the ballpark early with Ty Ayers performing on the Rocky Gap Casino Resort Entertainment Deck when the gates open at 5 p.m.
Keeping with the theme of celebrating Curve alumni, when gates for Saturday's game at 5 p.m., the first 1,500 fans to Curve, Pa. will get the Neil Walker Cartoon T-Shirt. The Pittsburgh native played with Altoona played one season with the Curve in 2007 and was a key part of the Curve by playing 117 games while blasting 13 home runs and later made his debut with the Pirates in 2009.
Fans can enjoy two nights of postgame fireworks as part of this action-packed homestand. After Friday's 7 p.m. game, all fans that stay will see the skies light up. Spectators get a chance to enjoy a second night of postgame fireworks on Sunday when the Curve wrap up their 6 p.m. game with the Baysox.
Bring the kiddos to the ballpark for our always-popular Kids Run the Bases, which will run after every game this series.
