Mountain Man, Pyro Musical FIREWORKS top bill

$1 Beer Night also on tap during five-game homestand July 22-26
July 21, 2014

The return of "Mountain Man" from the hit A&E reality TV show Duck Dynasty and the one-of-a-kind Pyro Musical FIREWORKS headline the State College Spikes' upcoming five-game homestand, running from Tuesday, July 22nd to Saturday, July 26th at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

The five-game run will pit the St. Louis Cardinals affiliate against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (Cleveland Indians) and Auburn Doubledays (Washington Nationals). All five games will start at 7:05 p.m.

"Mountain Man" will be on hand to meet and greet fans and be part of the in-game entertainment once again on Saturday, July 26, when the Spikes face Auburn. The appearance is presented by Service Master by Holobinko & Merry Maids and BIG Froggy 101. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. for the game, and fans are encouraged to bring out the camo and grow out their beards for a "Happy Happy Happy" night at the ballpark.

During his appearance, "Mountain Man" will hold a free fan meet and greet on the ballpark concourse during the game, will serve as a guest PA announcer using his famously-slow speech pattern, oversee a frog legs eating contest, and participate in other game night promotional activities.

Fans will also be thrilled by the first-ever Pyro Musical FIREWORKS at the park after the game Friday, July 25. VisitMyrtleBeach.com will present the show, which combines music and fireworks like never before at a Spikes game, creating a truly unique experience.

Plus, one lucky fan age 18 or over will win a fantastic vacation getaway to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Friday night. The drawing will take place at the conclusion of the game, and fans can enter to win throughout the night.

Thursday night will mark the return of $1 Beer Night at the ballpark, presented by 93.7 THE BUS, as the Spikes take on Auburn. Fans can purchase 12-oz. select domestic draft beers for just $1 apiece from 6-8 p.m. In addition, the first 1,000 fans of all ages will receive a Spikes Team Poster, presented by Fullington Bus Company.

The fun begins on Tuesday night, when the Spikes face Mahoning Valley. The first 500 fans will each receive an amazing "Spiderman"-inspired Spikes T-shirt presented by T&B Medical on T-Shirt Tuesday at the ballpark. Fans will also enjoy a money-saving Buy One, Get One Free offer on all Bullpen Box seats for Tuesday night's game, thanks to the partnership between the Spikes and the Centre Daily Times.

Wednesday night, fans can take advantage of the value of Half-Price Wednesday, presented by BIG Froggy 101. The Spikes host Mahoning Valley that night, and fans can get into the park with half-price Outfield Bleacher seats, then enjoy half-price 16-oz. select domestic draft beers from 6-8 p.m. and half-price medium sodas all game long.
