Suns' Tydus burns Biscuits

Jacksonville outfielder perfect 5-for-5 with homer in 7-5 rout

Tydus Meadows went 5-for-5 with a home run as visiting Jacksonville downed Montgomery, 7-2, on Wednesday.

Meadows had an RBI single in the third inning and a solo shot in the seventh. He is 5-for-8 in two games with the Suns (34-20). Meadows was sent down from Triple-A Las Vegas after batting .278 with two RBIs in nine games.

Anthony Raglani made it back-to-back homers in the seventh after Meadows' blast. Craig Brazell, who finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs, hit a solo shot for the Suns in the third.

Jacksonville starter Joel Hanrahan (5-2) struck out a season-high 10 batters over five innings. The right-hander gave up two runs on four hits and four walks. His last double-digit strikeout game came when Hanrahan fanned 11 on July 31, 2003, for Jacksonville.

Montgomery starter Chris Flinn (1-5) was charged with five runs on nine hits with one strikeout and two walks in five innings.

Elliot Johnson and Gabriel Martinez hit solo shots for the Biscuits (30-23).
