Bees Baseball to host Jimmy Buffet Night & 'Frozen' Night
Burlington, IA (July 28, 2014) - The Burlington Bees will be hosting Jimmy Buffett and 'Frozen' Night on August 1 and August 2, respectively, as the Bees take on the Clinton LumberKings at Community Field. Gates will open both nights at 5:30 PM and the games start at 6:30 PM.
"We're very excited about hosting these two fun theme nights" said Director of Community Relations Nick Waterman. "Jimmy Buffett is such a cultural icon and the movie Frozen just speaks for itself, if you've seen it. It's a great movie. We have fun activities planned on both nights for fun to be had by all."
On Friday, the Bees will face the Clinton LumberKings at 6:30 PM for Jimmy Buffett Night. Fans may come out and enjoy paradise themed decorations, listen to Jimmy Buffett music in between innings, participate in Jimmy Buffett themed on-field contests and even participate in the annual "Cheeseburger in Paradise" Eating Contest. The gates to the game will open at 5:30 PM.
On Saturday, the Bees will face the Clinton LumberKings at 6:30 PM in Game 2 of the series for 'Frozen' Night, in honor of Disney's movie 'Frozen'. If anyone wears their favorite Frozen shirt, Frozen costume or a princess costume they will receive a FREE small slushie! Children will be able to receive FREE face-paintings and participate in 'Frozen' themed on-field contests. As a special treat, there will be a special appearance from Elsa & Ana.
