July 3rd Omaha World-Herald Fireworks, September 2nd Finale Tickets on Sale

March 4, 2010
OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals announced today that single-game tickets for the team's 2010 season go on sale Saturday, March 13th. On that day, tickets may be purchased at Rosenblatt Stadium from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., or by calling the Royals ticket office at (402) 738-5100. They will also be available online at www.oroyals.com and at www.Etix.com. New this year, fans may purchase tickets through a free Etix iPhone app.

Tickets will go on sale for all of the Royals 72 home games, including the 26th annual Omaha World-Herald Fireworks spectacular. It will be held following the Royals 6:35 p.m. game on Saturday, July 3rd, vs. the Iowa Cubs. The popular event is also presented by the City of Omaha and the Omaha Royals. Another game expected to be a hot seller is the September 2nd contest vs. the Round Rock Express, slated to be the final game ever played at Rosenblatt. For the fourth consecutive year, the Royals season is being presented by Werner Enterprises.

On the 13th, there will be complimentary donuts and coffee, courtesy of Krispy Kreme. Inflatables for kids will also be set up in the stadium's front plaza during the entire event. A live radio remote on Q 98.5 is scheduled from 9:00-11:00 a.m., with several prize packages to be given away. Clowns and face painters will be on hand from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

"'Tickets on Sale Day' - as we refer to it in our offices - is a special day as it really represents the beginning of another great Minor League Baseball season," said Martie Cordaro, Royals Vice President/General Manager. "Of course, this year is unlike previous ones since it will be the final one at Rosenblatt. We hope area fans will come out March 13th to purchase tickets to their favorite promotions and celebrate Rosenblatt with us this season."

Daily ticket prices for Field Box and Reserved seats remain steady for a seventh consecutive season at $10 and $8, respectively. For a second straight year, General Admission tickets are $7, but the first 50 kids 12-and-under at every home game will receive General Admission tickets for just $1, courtesy of Centris Federal Credit Union.

The team will continue to give a $1 discount on Field Box, Reserved Seat and General Admission tickets to seniors 60-and-over and to kids 12-and-under (after the first 50 kids each game who receive the $1 GA ticket deal).

The Royals open their 2010 season at Rosenblatt Stadium on Thursday, April 8th at 7:05 p.m. facing the Memphis Redbirds. 2010 season tickets, mini-plans and other ticket packages are currently on sale. For tickets or more information, contact the Royals ticket office at (402) 738-5100.
