San Jose Giants to Host 7th Annual Italian Night August 2
SAN JOSE, CA- On Saturday, August 2 the San Jose Giants will bring Italian culture and cuisine back to Municipal Stadium for the 7th Annual Italian Night, presented by Sons of Sicily Aiuto Foundation. The entire night will be a celebration of Italian culture with raffles, Italian music and food, vendor booths and giveaways. The evening will feature special Italian food booths including everything from spaghetti to dessert items like sfingis (Italian doughnuts) and cannolis. In addition, the first 1,000 fans to the game will receive Italian themed San Jose Giants hats courtesy of Country Club Villa Apartments and Battaglia Ranch Tree Farm.
"Italian Night is a date our fans circle on their schedules each and every season." said Juliana Paoli, Chief Marketing Officer of the San Jose Giants. "The transformation of Municipal Stadium from a ballpark to a bustling Italian festival provides a great opportunity for fans to enjoy a baseball game while also experiencing a taste of Italy and its culture."
As part of the festivities the Giants will be wearing special Italian themed jerseys and hats as they take on the Stockton Ports at 6:00 PM. The on-field jerseys will be part of an in-game silent auction. The highest bidders will be able to go on the field following the game and receive their new autographed jersey right off the respective San Jose Giant's back. The proceeds will benefit the Sons of Sicily Aiuto Foundation.

The San Jose Giants continue their road trip tonight as they take on Modesto in the second game of their three game series. The team will return home on Thursday, July 31 when they welcome the Stockton Ports for a four game series.
