Alamo Drafthouse Sandlot Event Full, Bull Durham Tickets Open
AUSTIN - The Round Rock Express is hitting the Silver Screen for its diamond anniversary.
As part of the team's 10th Anniversary Season, Round Rock and the Alamo Drafthouse at Lake Creek announced Wednesday that the two Central Texas staples are teaming up to offer special Sunday screenings of classic baseball flicks during the Express' 2009 season.
The Sandlot will kick off the inaugural partnership on Sunday, April 26 beginning with a player meet-and-greet session at 7:00 p.m. Multiple players from the Express will be on hand to sign autographs and mingle with fans and specialty menu items will be available to the all-ages event. Bull Durham will air on Sunday, May 24. Moviegoers 18 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the second showing.
"The Alamo Lake Creek is proud to partner with another local institution for screenings of our favorite baseball themed movies," said Alamo Drafthouse Theater Programming Manager Bret Neuman. "We are excited to work with the Round Rock Express for what will surely be as good of a pairing as baseball and crackerjacks...or movies and beer. We hope to see everyone at the ballpark."
Tickets for both exclusive engagements are free; however, there are a limited number of tickets available. To receive up to four complimentary tickets to the event, e-mail Express Director of Communications Avery Holton ([email protected]). Tickets will also be awarded to select seat locations during games.
