Naturals launch re-designed team website

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals have become one of the first teams across Minor League Baseball and one of only two Texas League teams to launch a new website look that within the next month be standard for all clubs nationwide. Still found at www.nwanaturals.com, the sleek and modern look of the website was designed by the Naturals and Major League Baseball Advanced Media's Minor League Department.

The change to the site is not just to its visual look but also to the functionality and the presentation of some of the most important information and links about the team. The tabs located just under the top banner have been arranged to be more user friendly, to arrange the information most sought by fans - Tickets, Promotions and Schedule - as the first three tabs going from left to right on the website. The promotions tab is new, as is a Scoreboard tab that will take website visitors during the season to the Texas League scoreboard.

The 'media wall' panel located in the upper left hand corner of the home page has an updated look and improved functionality. The thumbnails which fans can use to select a new slide are hidden from view until the user's mouse moves into the area. There are also news centers for the most up-to-date Naturals information as well as news from our parent club, the Kansas City Royals, and from across the minor leagues, all located with one click on the home page.

The new-look website also now includes four boxes that will 'carousel' fans through informational options in Social Media, Tickets and Events, Red Dirt Outfitters, and Multimedia. The Social Media carousel has direct links to the sign up for the Naturals' newsletter, join our Facebook fan page, follow us on Twitter and visit our YouTube channel. Fans who click on the Tickets and Events carousel now will be able to learn more about new mini-packs and promotions the Naturals have to offer fans in 2010. The Red Dirt Outfitters carousel will be used to promote specific products and in-store specials from our official team merchandise store that may be purchased online. Lastly, once the Naturals season begins on April 8th, the Multimedia carousel will feature videos interviews with Naturals players or coaches, audio and visual game highlights, and photo galleries.

"The new look of nwanaturals.com will improve the way our fans engage with our club on a day-to-day basis," said Naturals' General Manager Eric Edelstein. "The redesign makes everything easier to find right on our home page and presents it in a sleek, user-friendly template. It brings our online presence to a whole new level."

The Naturals remind fans that, like always, you can purchase tickets online and print them right from the comfort of your home or office. Single game tickets went on sale this past weekend.
