TMNT Night puts a spotlight on Fresno
FRESNO, Calif. - Minor League Baseball in Downtown Fresno is bound to attract worldwide eyes when the Fresno Grizzlies take the field in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themed-jerseys on Saturday, August 2 at 7:05 p.m. at Chukchansi Park.
The night begins with the first 2,000 fans receiving a Fresno Grizzlies Ninja Turtles tin lunchbox (photo attached), courtesy of PG&E.
Thanks to Nickelodeon, costumed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters will be appearing prior to and throughout the game. Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael all will toss out a ceremonial first pitch, take part in the on-field entertainment, and pose for pictures on the first base concourse.
Joining the costumed characters throughout the evening will be the Fresno Grizzlies mascot, Parker T. Bear, dressed as Master Parker. The renowned mascot has plants to put on a special skit with four mini Ninja Turtles at some point during the game.
Fans attending Saturday's game are encouraged to participate in the postgame live game-worn jersey auction located in the section above the first base dugout, with proceeds benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California. The auction begins directly after the final out of the game.
Co-branded Fresno Grizzlies and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles merchandise is available beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 2nd in the Grizzlies Team Store (1800 Tulare Street). Online pre-orders are currently available now. T-shirts come in all four colors and range in sizes from toddler through adult.
