Irish Festival on June 12th: Tix on Sale
The NJ Irish Festival returns to FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood, home of the Lakewood BlueClaws, on Saturday, June 12th, from noon - 7 pm. It will be the fourth consecutive year the BlueClaws have hosted the event.
As in year's past, the New Jersey Irish Festival is a full-day celebration of Irish culture and heritage. There will be live music, all-day from a variety of bands, an on-field pipe-band competition, Irish-themed vendors, Catholic Mass, and more.
This year's bands include: Blackthorn, Celtic Cross, Girsa, Willie Lynch Showband, Jamesons Revenge, and the Bantry Boys.
"We can think of no better day than St. Patrick's Day to formally put tickets on sale and start the push towards our 40th annual Irish Festival," said Sheila Murphy, 2010 NJ Irish Festival Chairwoman. "We're also thoroughly excited to be back in Lakewood. The location and facility are spectacular and the BlueClaws have been wonderful hosts."
Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 the day of the event, and are available by calling the BlueClaws Box Office at 732-901-7000 option 2. Tickets are also available at the Irish Peddler, the Irish Center, and the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh in Belmar and Old Bridge.
With each pre-sale ticket ordered, fans will be entered to win a three day stay in Cape Cod.
Children under 12 are admitted free.
