Ottawa starter Brian Burres allowed one run on six hits with five strikeouts in 6 1/3 frames. Todd Donovan went 3-for-3 for the Lynx (29-30).
Robert Stratton's solo shot in the fifth gave the Clippers a 1-0 lead.
