August 8, 2014

The Red Wings' 2014 Elvis Presley event "The Wings Salute The King" takes place on Friday, August 15 - a day before the 37th anniversary of Elvis' death in 1977. This year's Wings Salute The King event is presented by Excellus BlueShield as part of their Superhero World Record attempt.

The event will feature a post-game fireworks show and video presentation celebrating the music and pop culture influence of Elvis.

Award-winning Elvis tribute artist Patrick Johnson will perform near the Team Store before the game, and make a special appearance as part of the fireworks finale.
