Meet Your Front Office: Ryan Pearman

March 26, 2010
EVERETT, Wash.--Throughout the season, the AquaSox released a video series called 'Meet Your AquaSox'. With the players at Spring Training, now it is time to get to know your AquaSox Front Office! For the second installment, meet Ticket Operations Manager Ryan Pearman, a graduate (and passionate fan) of Gonzaga University, and former AquaSox intern.

Name: Ryan Neil Pearman
Birthday: October 23, 1986
Hometown: Woodinville "The Wood" Washington
College: THE Gonzaga University
Pets: Golden Retriever "Bailey"
Family: Parents Karla and Doug and Little Sister Kelsey

Choice of superpower & why: I would like to be able to fly because running all over the ballpark during games just get tiring. Plus I wouldn't ever have to sit in traffic, which is literally the worst.
What would you do with a million dollars?: Buy a million lottery tickets and hopefully win more. I have to imagine those odds would be pretty good.

Favorite Food: Anything Mexican
Favorite Sports Team: Gonzaga Bulldogs, Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks, Nebraska Cornhuskers
Favorite Athlete: Tim Lincecum, Felix Hernandez, Lebron James, Russell Westbrook, Percy Harvin
Favorite Movie: Field of Dreams, Old School, Wedding Crashers
Favorite place to travel: Long Beach, CA to visit family
Last Halloween costume: Jim "Bookface" Halpert from "The Office"

Hobbies in the off-season: Basketball Leagues (even on carpet courts, thank you Issaquah), hanging out at my house down in Kirkland with my roommates, watching anything sports related on TV, Church, and being with my family.
Best Moment in Sports: My final select baseball season with Fatburger Baseball.
How did you get started working in sports?: I was a Day-of-Game Ticket Seller with the Aquasox in 2007, which lead to me being an Intern during the 2008 season. I made a fool of myself enough on the field that season to begin working part-time the following season in 2009 and now call the Everett AquaSox home after my final year at Gonzaga.
What advice do you have for other people who are interested in working in sports?: If you work hard enough and make yourself irreplaceable you will always find a spot.
Most embarrassing moment in sports: Swinging and striking out when the pitch ended up hitting me in the leg. Then proceeding to try and run it out since it was a dropped third strike and realized I had a dead-leg and fell down. Pretty easy out from there, and pretty embarrassing moment for myself.
If you didn't work in sports what would you do?: Full-time coaching and instructing baseball

One thing people don't know about the AquaSox office or one of your co-workers: That the frequency of Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift songs in the sales bullpen is probably too high for a group of four guys.

Other fun facts about you: I once ate 50 McNuggets in less the 30 minutes after being bet I couldn't
