WHAT: Best Wings USA Charity Challenge -- fans get to try wings from area restaurants and vote on their favorites with all proceeds going to charity.

WHEN: Wednesday, Aug. 20 starting at 6 p.m.

WHERE: CMC-NorthEast Stadium (I-85, Exit 63)

WHY: To raise money for Cooperative Christian Ministries

HOW: Purchase a wristband for $5, which allows you to try all the wings you want and vote on your favorite. We'll crown a champion. You'll eat a lot of wings. A local charity receives support in the process. Everyone wins!

 

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (Aug. 18, 2014) -- The Kannapolis Intimidators want to know who is king of the wing at our annual "Best Wings USA" charity challenge on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at CMC-NorthEast Stadium at 6 p.m. leading up to the Intimidators game against the Asheville Tourists at 7:05 p.m. 

Beginning when gates open at 6 p.m., fans will be able to purchase a $5 wristband for access to try wings from the areas best restaurants. Fans will vote on their favorites, and the Intimidators will announce a winner during the 7th inning stretch. Proceeds from wristband sales will benefit Cooperative Christian Ministries, an organization which works to provide immediate assistance to members of our community who are experiencing crisis in the areas of food, shelter, or finances while engaging them in a series of actions that will empower them to move beyond crisis.

The Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, host the Tourists (Rockies) at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday as part of a 3-game home stand this week from Tuesday to Thursday. With 10 home games remaining during the 20th season of baseball in Kannapolis, fans are encouraged to make it to the ballpark this week and next for their last chance to see Intimidators baseball before the season comes to a close.
