Bats host Zombie Night Thursday
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville Bats will host Zombie Night on Thursday, August 21 during a two-game homestand with the Columbus Clippers, Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.
On Zombie Night, fans dressed as zombies may purchase a field reserved ticket for $5. Fans can also become the undead at the ballpark with face painting for $5 at the Zombie Village by the Jackson Street entrance in right field. Zombies from local haunted houses will be available for photo opportunities and on-field costume contests will be held in the 4th inning for kids and the 5th inning for adults with prizes to be awarded to the winners. There will also be a $1 Budweiser beer happy hour before the game from 5:30-7 p.m. with live music on the Overlook.
Friday will feature the homestand's second and final game. Jake the Diamond Dog will make his last appearance of the season and fireworks will follow the game.
First pitch for both Thursday and Friday is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Entering play on Tuesday, the Bats are 64-66 and tied with the Indianapolis Indians for second place, 7.0 GB of the IL West-leading Columbus Clippers. The Bats have won five of their last eight games and are being led by outfielder Donald Lutz, who is hitting .324 with 7 RBI and 8 runs scored in that span.
