San Jose Giants Announce Second Annual Golf Tournament
Event activities include lunch, golf, dinner, and silent auction. Packages start at $65 for dinner and $175 for golf. All costs are per person. The Foundation is also pleased to offer a diverse range of sponsorship packages to corporate supporters.
"Last year's Inaugural Golf Tournament was the single most successful fundraising event for the Giants Sports Foundation, we are extremely excited and look forward to another great event," said Giants Sports Foundation Executive Director Cami Yuasa. "Everyone who participated in the tournament last year, including the San Francisco Giants alumni and San Jose Giants players had a wonderful time. This annual event is made possible because of the support of our local partners."
The Giants Sports Foundation was established by the San Jose Giants Baseball Club to take over their management and expansion of its various community involvement programs which provide youth services in the San Jose, California area. The Foundation's mission is to encourage and foster the development of healthy lifestyles in children and teens through physical activity and education. Amongst its many activities, the Foundation provides youth baseball camps and manages the literacy campaign.
The San Jose Giants open their defense of the California League title on Thursday, April 8th at Modesto. The home opener at Municipal Stadium is scheduled for Monday, April 12th against the Visalia Rawhide. The Opening Night Extravaganza will include a post-game fireworks display, the championship ring ceremony, 2010 magnet schedule giveaway, the return of Gigante and much more.
