Phillie Phanatic Appearance Tonight

On Saturday, April 10 at 6:05 p.m., fans of all ages will be treated to a performance by the world famous Phillie Phanatic, presented by Candlewood Suites West Reading / Country Inn & Suites Wyomissing. The Phanatic, who debuted on April 25, 1978 at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, has been entertaining fans for over thirty years, and will bring his exciting show to Baseballtown. 

Also on Saturday, there will be a pre-game student music performance with help from 830 AM WEEU. All music students are encouraged to bring their instrument and perform in the special pre-game concert. All participants will receive a free ticket. As part of the pre-game music performance, the R-Phils plan to set a record, as each musician is invited to take part in an attempt at a "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" world record. 

All ages, ability levels, and instruments are invited to perform. Wire music stands will be permitted on the field. Please keep in mind that conditions on the field can sometimes be windy, and performers will need to exit the field rather quickly after the performance. All instruments & stands should be easily carried by the musician in one trip. Plus, a Kids Club Happy 1/2 Hour with a free 30 minutes in Phunland. All gates open at 5:00 p.m.

Tonight will also feature a Happy Hour with $1.00 off select beers (4:00 - 5:00 p.m.)plus a pre-game concert in the Classic Cafe with Josh Taylor Trio (4:00 - 5:00 p.m.).

The exhilarating four-game series concludes on Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m., as the first 2,000 kids in attendance will be given a Ryan Howard R-Phils Greats collectors baseball. The baseball, which will be the first in the series, is presented by Van Bennett Food Co. Kids who are members of the R-Phils Kids Club can also take part in "Bring Your Camera" to the game for the pre-game R-Phils player photo session, which is set for 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. All Redner's R-Phils Kids Club members can receive a free ticket to the game and participate in the player photo session.
