PLAYER AND PITCHER OF THE WEEK

The Florida State League named today the Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period May 9-15, 2005.

Reggie Abercrombie, Outfielder, Jupiter Hammerheads was named the Player of the Week. In six games, he had seven hits in 26 plate appearances for a .269 average. His seven hits included three home runs and one double. He scored five runs and drove in six. His slugging average was .423 and he stole four bases. Reggie is in his sixth year of professional baseball and was with Lancaster last season. He resides in Columbus, GA.

The Pitcher of the Week was Vero Beach Dodgers Right-hander Justin Orenduff. He started two games and recorded one win and a 0.75 ERA. In 12 innings pitched, he allowed seven hits, one run (earned), gave up two walks and struck out 16 batters. Justin is in his second year of professional baseball and was with Ogden last season. He resides in Chesapeake, VA.
