Loons Announce 2015 Season Schedule

Team opens season at home and will play 70 games at Dow Diamond

MIDLAND, Mich. - The Great Lakes Loons are pleased to announce their 2015 season schedule, which includes 70 home games and 11 weekends of baseball at Dow Diamond.

The Loons will open their season at home on Thursday, April 9 with the first game of a three-game series with the Fort Wayne TinCaps. They will play a total of 140 games in 2015, with the season concluding on Sept. 7 against Detroit Tigers-affiliate West Michigan.

The Loons will play 12 home games in April, 14 in May, 13 in June, 13 in July and 18 in August/September. The popular $1 Family Feast Night, presented by Chemical Bank, will return to Dow Diamond for every Thursday home game. On these 12 dates, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs, 16 oz. Pepsi products, chips and ice cream sandwiches throughout the game.

Also returning in 2015 will be the Fireworks Loontaculars, powered by Dow Corning, in which fans can enjoy a free fireworks show after the game. There are 13 Loontaculars scheduled for 2015 on these dates: May 23, June 6, June 27, July 3, July 18, July 24, July 25, August 7, August 8, August 21, August 22, August 26 and Sept. 5.

There will be some changes in games times in 2015. All Sunday home games will begin at 2:05 p.m., an hour early than in 2014. There will also be three Monday home games that begin at 2:05 p.m. Night games in April will start at 6:05 p.m., with all night games after April beginning at 7:05 p.m.

The Loon Loft team store is currently closed for the offseason but will reopen for the holidays from December 15 to December 19. The store, located at Dow Diamond, will be open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on those dates. Fans can shop online all year at www.loons.com. Gift cards may be purchased through the Loons Ticket Office.
