Catch 47 to televise FSL All-Star Game
Tom Buehring and former big league star Fred McGriff will call the game and the broadcast will air Wednesday, June 21st at 9 p.m. So, you can look for yourself in the stands and relive your memories from the All-Star Game just a few days after the event with Catch 47.
The All-Star Weekend festivities run from June 16th-18th in Lakeland and throughout Polk County. R-G Crown Bank, Polk County Sports Marketing, The Terrace Hotel and the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce are sponsors of the 45th Florida State League Midsummer Classic.
On Saturday, June 17th the All-Star Autograph Crawl will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in downtown Lakeland as part of a joint venture with the Downtown Lakeland Partnership. All-Star players will be stationed at different downtown Lakeland businesses and fans will have the opportunity to meet the players and get autographs.
The 45th annual Florida State League All-Star Game begins at 7:35 p.m. on June 17th. Gates open at 5 p.m. with the Home Run Derby beginning at 6 p.m. A spectacular fireworks show will light up the skies at Joker Marchant Stadium following the game.
Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Al Kaline will be the guest of honor for the weekend festivities and is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Tickets for the game are just $8 for every seat in the house and can be purchased at the Tigertown ticket office, Ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster outlets.
