Logan Moon Awarded August Player of the Month by MiLB

BURLINGTON, NC-Logan Moon's work in the Appalachian League during the month of August has been recognized at the national level. Minor League Baseball announced today the top players in each of its leagues for the month of August. Each recipient will receive an award from MiLB and a congratulatory letter from Minor League Baseball President & CEO Pat O'Conner.

Moon, the 6th Round 2014 Draft Pick from Blue Springs, MO, went 9-for-19 in his last five games of the 2014 season with one double, one triple, three RBIs and three runs. The Burlington Royals right fielder also stole five bases, bringing his season total to 10. In August, Moon commanded a .333 batting average (30-90), won the Appalachian League Batting Title (.332), set the Burlington Royals Hits Record (75), and was named Appalachian League Player of the Week to conclude the 2014 campaign.
