Davis was a longtime Cub

June 18, 2006
Former Chicago Cubs catcher Jody Davis will make a special appearance at Principal Park Wednesday, June 21.

Davis will sign free autographs for fans at Principal Park from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will then throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Cubs take on the Omaha Royals at 7:05 p.m.

In his eight years with the Cubs (1981-1988), Davis was a two-time National League All-Star (1984 & 1986) and won a Rawlings Gold Glove Award in 1986. He also finished 10th in National League MVP voting in 1986.
