June 19, 2006
Anthony Raglani went 3-for-4 with five RBIs as Vero Beach hitters combined for five home runs to crush visiting Jupiter, 11-1, on Monday.

After Blake Dewitt went yard with a solo shot in the first inning and David Nicholson lined an RBI double in the second, Raglani blasted a three-run shot in the third. The Dodgers (26-40) never looked back.

Raglani capped the seventh with a run-scoring single after Chris Westervelt knocked an RBI double.

Jamie Hoffman, Xavier Paul and Dewitt then launched back-to-back-to-back solo home runs to lead off the eighth. Raglani iced it with another RBI single later in the inning.

Hoffman went 3-for-4 and Dewitt, Westervelt, Nicholson and Carlos Santana all notched two of Vero Beach's 17 hits. Dewitt raised his RBI total to 29 on the year.

Blake Johnson (4-3) picked up the win, allowing one run on four hits over seven innings. He struck out 10 without walking a batter.

Jupiter starter James Brauer (4-4) was rocked for five runs on eight hits lasting just three innings. Daniel Barone allowed all three home runs in the eighth.

The Hammerheads (29-38) scored their only run on an RBI single by Carlos Piste in the third.
