Due to the overwhelming response we have received through our social media channels, the South Bend Cubs have compiled this list of frequently asked questions to better inform our fans.
Where can I buy South Bend Cubs Merchandise?
• We are currently working on all the necessary logo approvals with Minor League Baseball and the Chicago Cubs for all of our new apparel designs and uniform designs for the 2015 season. We
expect to have items ready for purchase before the 2014 holidays.
Where/when can I buy season tickets for the 2015 South Bend Cubs season?
• Season tickets are on sale now. You can call the South Bend Cubs office at 574-235-9988.
Are ticket prices going to go up?
• We will always keep ticket prices affordable so that families throughout the region can attend and enjoy the South Bend Cubs experience. And, we're happy to report that we have some of the lowest ticket-prices in minor league baseball.
Will it still be called Four Winds Field?
• Yes. The naming rights of the stadium have not changed. Four Winds Field is now the official home of the South Bend Cubs.
Will the players change? And if so, when is the new roster released?
• Yes, there will be new players and a new coaching staff in 2015. We will not have the new roster until March 29th or March 30th.
Is South Bend still going to be a Single-A Affiliate team?
• Yes, South Bend is a Single-A affiliate team of the Chicago Cubs.
Do you know who the manager will be?
• Not yet. The decision will be made by Chicago Cubs management during the offseason.
How is the park going to change? Will it be like a little Wrigley Field?
• We're going to add some distinctive Wrigley Field style features to the ballpark, but your favorite things about Four Winds Field will not change. The splash pad, kids play area, special seating areas, tiki-hut, the family-friendly events and family-friendly features, will continue or get even better.
Do you think I'll have a chance to see some of my favorite Cubs players rehab in South Bend?
• Maybe. There's always a chance that an injured Chicago Cub player will spend time in South Bend on rehab assignment. For sure you'll be seeing future Cubs players - probably stars. This is professional baseball and the most iconic team in Major League history.
