Travs Announce 2015 Schedule

LITTLE ROCK - The Arkansas Travelers are excited to announce the schedule for the 2015 season. After opening the season with a six-game road trip starting on April 9, the Travs will host their ninth Home Opener at Dickey-Stephens Park on Thursday, April 16 against the Frisco Roughriders (Texas Rangers) at 7:10 p.m. Season ticket plans are available for purchase over the phone now at (501) 664-1555 or in person at the Travs office. 

 

The Travs' 140 game schedule is split into two 70-game half seasons with the first half concluding on June 22 at home against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.

 

Sixty-one of the Travs' 70 home games are scheduled for night time with five Sunday afternoon games at 2:10 p.m., two 11:00 a.m. morning games and a 5:30pm game on Saturday, August 1 for the third annual Faith and Family Night! The second half concludes on Labor Day, September 7 at home against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals with a special game time of 1:10 p.m.

 

Many of the great promotions you loved last season will be back for 2015, including Military Appreciation Sundays, $1 dog nights and Thursday theme nights. Clunker Boat Night, Clunker Car Night, fireworks and many more new promotions will also headline the schedule! The full 2015 promotion schedule will be announced at a later date.

 

The format of the Texas League season remains unchanged with the Travs playing against their North Division opponents the majority of the season. The Springfield Cardinals and Tulsa Drillers (Los Angeles Dodgers) are the Travs most familiar foes with 32 games scheduled, while the in-state Northwest Arkansas Naturals have 28 match ups with the Travs. The Travs will play all South Division teams (Midland, San Antonio, Frisco and Corpus Christi) 12 times each.

 

The Travelers are entering their 15th season as an affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels and 49th in the Texas League.
