DAVENPORT, IA - Quad Cities starting pitcher Eric Fornataro got four runs and ran with them in game one of a doubleheader at Modern Woodmen Park.  The right-hander struck out eight over six shutout innings and picked up the win as the River Bandits beat Wisconsin 4-0 Tuesday night.  CJ Beatty had the big hit in a three-run fourth inning for the River Bandits.  The loss was the sixth in a row for the Rattlers.

The Bandits (20-12) broke the scoreless tie in the fourth inning.  Rattlers starting pitcher Kyle Heckathorn struck out the leadoff batter to set a professional single game high for strikeouts with six.  Then, Matt Adams and Ryde Rodriguez singled and Ryan Jackson drew a walk to load the bases.  Then, Beatty drove a 2-2 pitch to left-center for a three-run double.

Niko Vasquez hit a one-out solo homer in the bottom of the fifth inning off reliever Caleb Thielbar to pad the River Bandits' cushion to 4-0.

Fornataro retired the first 11 Wisconsin hitters he faced, allowed two hits, hit a batter, and did not walk a batter over his six innings of work.  Justin Smith came on for the seventh inning and retired the Rattlers (9-22) in order to end game one.
