Gilliam Hooks Victory For Arkansas With Walk-Off Hit

North Little Rock, AR—Isiah Gilliam delivered a two out walk-off hit in the bottom of the ninth sending the Arkansas Travelers to a 4-3 series opening victory on Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. The Travs had loaded the bases with no one out but needed Gilliam’s heroics after consecutive strikeouts.

North Little Rock, AR—Isiah Gilliam delivered a two out walk-off hit in the bottom of the ninth sending the Arkansas Travelers to a 4-3 series opening victory on Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. The Travs had loaded the bases with no one out but needed Gilliam’s heroics after consecutive strikeouts. Three relievers combined to pitch 4.1 scoreless innings as Arkansas rallied from an early two-run deficit for the victory. Robbie Tenerowicz paced the Travs offense with three hits and three runs batted in. Isaiah Campbell nabbed another win out of the bullpen to improve to 6-0 on the year.

Moments That Mattered

* Tenerowicz connected for a two RBI hit with two out in the fifth to pull the Travs even.

* Campbell saw the Hooks put runners at second and third in the top of the ninth but got out of the jam without allowing a run setting the stage for the walk-off.
